  • Thank you for your support.

But there is no solution except reinstalling MSCRM again.

Isn't there any integration tool for this?

Uninstall Microsoft CRM , build new organization unit in the new active directory , use the redeployment tool(you can find it on CRM server CD) ,follow the steps, and install Microsoft CRM again , and i think you have to reinstall the CRM client for outlook again..

  • I have a problem I have my server down but I have a reguler backup for both METABASE & MSCRM databases

I install MSCRM on another server I need to restore the old data to the new server. manual restore is not working.

How can I solve this problem?

  • Assuming you're using crm 3:

    follow these steps:

    - Restore the DB to the new SQL server

    - Run Re-deployment tool (found on the cd) - follow onscreen instructions.

    - install CRM using 'connect to existing database' option.

    you're done.

CRM should work for the most part. (excluding. custom made additions).

  • Good thread.

What if the customer wants to use the same machine for the CRM app, but wants to change domain?

    Are we looking at:

    1. Backup CRM

    2. Uninstall CRM app

    3. Add the web-server to the new domain, and rename as appropriate

    4. Run the CRM redeployment tool

    5. Install CRM

Or is there another, much easier, way?

Basically my customer is moving users from one domain to another, and I have found that the user manager tool, and the supported direct db systemuserbase update, is not able to allow re-domained users to access the tool.

Basically, is a redeployment the only way out here?

    Thanks!
