I just bought a new windows 7 ultimate on Microsoft's site and it won't validate. RRS feed

  • I was using a computer for a couple of years with windows 7 ultimate on it and got a message that is was not a valid copy.  I then went the the microsoft site and bought a new copy of ultimate for 211.00. and it stiill won't validate.  I put in new key code it starts the validation process and then I get the message windows valadation was interupted.

  • I can confirm that the Product Key is NOT Blocked.

    Please confirm that you do not have any programs (i.e. hacks) meant to bypass Activation and/or Validation (such as RemoveWAT) and then validate windows by going to http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate

    The Key in use has been blocked for some reason – I suggest that you call the MS Store and see what they say about the problem.
     
    It’s possible that if you just used the Key rather than reinstalling, that residual problems remain from the application of a program called RemoveWAT, to bypass activation.
    To check this, look in the Windows\System32 folder folder for a file named slmgr.vbs.removewat – if it exists, rename it to slmgr.vbs, and reboot, then run another MGADiag report, and post back.
