CRM 2011 - Update Entity Status From Mobile Express RRS feed

  • Wondering if it's possible, or anyone knows a way, to close a Case from CRM Mobile? Our team uses it pretty extensively and we haven't figured out a way to set a Case to inactive and update the statuscode appropriately.  Thanks.

    Closing a case is a custom action which opens the 'Resolve Case' window so this is not available in the Mobile Express client.

    3rd party add-on products like CWR Mobility enable the mobile users to close cases.

    As a workaround, you could add a new 'active' status of 'Ready for Closure' which the mobile user could set via Mobile Express assuming you expose the Status Reason on the mobile form. A user or team who are running the CRM Web Client or Outlook clients could then work from a view of 'Ready for Closure' cases and close them using the standard functionality OR you could add a workflow to change the status to Resolved.
