You can also delete the cookie, or just allow the cookie per session (but not be persistent).

This was asked before. At the time I asked why the poster wanted to sign out of the forums ? There was never an answer that I saw.You can always sign out in HotMail if you are using a Hotmail address. That works in Firefox.

I am not using a hotmail/live email address. I use my work email as my Windows Sign In ID for MSDN postings.
I went to http://home.live.com to sign out, which works, but then I come back to MSDN and it still asks me to sign out.
The reason why I signed out in the first place was to check my other hotmail account, which is different from the one I use for MSDN.
After I checked the email, I come back to MSDN logged in as my hotmail account, so I want to log out and use my MSDN account. But I cannot sign out now.
So I am actually typing this in Internet Explorer, which I really don't want. -
