Probably a silly question, but I used my external drive to transfer stuff to my new pc, and just installed WLOC. I keep files on the external that I'm using for Backup that don't exist on my C drive. Backup won't overwrite my files will it?
OneCare backup will create a new folder structure in empty space on the external drive if you select that drive as the backup destination. It won't delete or overwrite any files unless you choose to format the disk. If OneCare offers to convert the disk to NTFS and you are using the drive to backup a single PC and it is connected via USB (or other local connection type) you can ignore that suggestion. If you choose to convert to NTFS, copy those files that don't exist elsewhere to another location in case something goes wrong during the conversion.
