CRM 2011: How to change the currency field limit? RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I have a field which is currency type. The default range limit in CRM is from 0.0000 to 1,000,000,000.0000. But if I change the range to (0.0000, 1,000,000,000,000.0000), when I save a record, it always pops up message like 'You must enter a number between 0.0000 and 1,000,000,000,000.0000'. Does that mean the range can't be over the limit?

    Need your help.

  • What value(s) are you entering after you increase the maximum from 1,000,000,000.0000 to 1,000,000,000,000.0000 that prompts the message?

  • The maximum size of currency fields can be between -922,337,203,685,477.0000 and 922,337,203,685,477.0000 - but this is limited by the min/max you provide on an attribute by attribute basis.

    The default range for a currency field is 0.0000 to 1,000,000,000,000.0000 not 1,000,000,000.0000 - so it might be worth going back and checking those commas!
