"Propose as answer" alerts RRS feed

  • Question

  • Check out this thread.   I'll avoid commenting on Harry Zhu's moderator skills.  Or the blasted "Propose as answer" feature.  I am however getting sick of the stream of useless alerts I get from this.  Please remove the trigger.

Answers

  • Let's pre-empt this quickly.  This thread is not about the Propose as Answer feature.  I already got the FU answer about that.  It is about me not wanting to know about newbies that think it is a good idea to use it.  They didn't do any wrong, it's sanctioned, just don't want or need the alert.  Just way too many of them.

  • It took me a while to get what you were asking for so I'll spell it out (and you can tell me if I got it wrong).

You don't want to have an Alert when someone proposes a post as an answer.

    Is that it ?

(Meanwhile I'm wondering why Mr Zhu didn't also Propose the last post in the thread - he proposed every other one!)

  • I have avoided marking my own post as "Proposed As Answer" and let that be the decision of the original poster and/or moderators.

  • I know Hans, I agree with you. I was just adding my two cents.
