Error Message: Unable to set up port for monitoring machines RRS feed

  • I am getting an error message:  "Urgent: Unable to set up ports for monitoring machines. If the problem persists, contact support."


    I am signed up with the OneCare perpetual beta.


    My version is 2.0.2284.28 (but it does not say Beta). 


    Any help much appreciated.

  • Al, if you are in the perpetual beta, you should be on v 1.6 and all discussions for the perpetual beta are via the private newsgroup - information available when signed in on the Connect web site.


    That said, the error you are encountering is related to multi-PC management and has been reported as happeneing when attempting to set up a hub PC and, in one case, for unknown reasons on a PC not configured as a hub. Please file a bug on Connect - https://connect.microsoft.com/site/sitehome.aspx?SiteID=168 and include the support logs as explained on Connect.
