OFF TOPIC: Messenger - Technical terms... RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello everyone! Firstly, i would like to congratulate the guys who got the idea to create the forum, as well as all its participants! Its just too cool! Well, in fact, i've got a question for you guys. Do you know what the terms "Allow list" and "bottom line" mean in the Windows Live Messenger context? I tried the Help Topics... but i think there's a prob with the server. When i search for a topic, it says: "A problem occurred. Please try again", and that for everything that i search for! Please, help me out. In fact, a friend asked me that, as he got the same problem. Don't ask me where he saw those words... i really don't know! Lol.

    Allow list,
    Bottom line..

    Please help!!!
    Thanks in advance!

  • Hello to you. This forum is actually for Windows Live OneCare, not Messenger, so you're off topic.

You can seek further help with Messenger in the newsgroup for Windows Live Messenger or MSN Messenger here: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx

Allow List is a list of those people who you have explicitly allowed to see your online status and communicate with you. You can block all others and only allow those on the list. This is configured in the Privacy Tab of Messenger's options.

I don't know what Bottom Line means and don't know where it was seen in Messenger.
