Outgoing OCS conference calls fails over Cisco 2821 RRS feed

  • Question

  • When we initiate an outgoing conference call over Cisco 2821 it fails with Error 404 Not Found. The problem is, OCS 2007 Conferencing server does send the sip address from user which initiated the conference call. The Cisco 2821 cannot place this call without a telephone number in FROM-field.

part of INVITE message from Mediation Server to Cisco 2821:

    INVITE sip:+491234567890@10.50.123.201;user=phone SIP/2.0

  • Hi Joerg,

What verions of IOS are you using and are your connecting the 2821 directly to a PSTN connection like a T1 or are you using it to connect to an IP PBX? I have not seen this as an issue for connecting to an IP-PBX. A 404 not found may indicate a missing dial peer in your configuration. The guide below is from Cisco for connecting to a t1 for OCS on an ISR.
