LiveOneCare Firewall blocks my needed MSN updates

Question

LiveOneCare Firewall keeps blocking MSN updates, even when I "Allow" several times. How do I get L1C Firewall to recognize MSN as part of my regular setup? Thank you

Each time a program is updated, it will need to be allowed again unless it is already part of the known applications in the OneCare rules list (deployed from the server). MSN Explorer should already be known to OneCare and allowed unless you just received the latest update which may not be known to OneCare yet - 9.6.

This has happened before with MSN and L1C. I allowed it three times but still couldn't download since it wouldn't let me log in.
I guess my question should have been, How do I add MSN once and for all to the Known Applications List? There is one other program that it never recognizes. It would be nice if I could add both manually, to once and for all be rid of this problem. Is it possible to add them manually? Thank you

Yes, you can add programs to the allowed list. Open OneCare, click on Change Settings. On the Firewall tab, click Advanced. Go to the Programs list and click Add. Navigate to the MSN Explorer executable file in Program Files (sorry that I don't know the specific file at the moment.)
On the other hand, if the issue is with the installer for MSN Explorer, you can temporarily disable the OneCare firewall from the Firewall tab and then download and install MSN Explorer. Once the PC reboots, the firewall will be enabled once again.
If you continue to have problems, please contact support.
