NIC drivers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I've just installed Home Server on my "server" but some of the HW weren't installed, such as NIC and audio system..

    I'm running on a HP DC7700P CMT.

Most likely a BroadCom NetExtreme NIC, but HP has no driver for it, only 2000(!), XP and Vista. No 2003 server driver.

Anyone on same HW here to guide me?

  • That computer uses an Intel Pro 1000 MT network adapter. The drivers can be found at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/download.aspx?url=/4275/eng/PRO2KXP.exe&DwnldId=4275&ProductID=871&lang=eng. Audio is disabled in WHS so there is no point in installing any audio drivers.

  • Any thoughts as to possibly why WHS cannot use or find the integrated nic for my ECS GeForce6100SM-M?  I also tried a Linksys nic as well.  Doesn't seem like WHS finds it on its own, and when I try to get the drivers from the site, it indicated it couldn't start.

I know I'm replying to an ancient thread, but I just finished installing WHS on my 6100SM-M.  The driver for the integrated NIC was not found, but installing the PCI bridge driver per http://www.fixya.com/support/t180909-ecs_geforce6100sm_m_onboard_network fixed the problem.
