Why Do I Have To ReInstall WGA? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I already have Windows Genuine Advantage software installed on  my computer and I have been verified a number of times. Yet when I booted up this morning I get a message saying I have new software to install--WGA! Why do I have to install it again??? To me this sounds like hackers at work. What is going on?

  • Same here... For something I don't want in the first place, having to install this over and over, is getting really REALLY old!

  • Update to the WGA Notifications program introduces changes based on customer feedback: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2006/jun06/06-27WGA.mspx

  • I've received probably five or six updates since first installing WGA  in April '06. It appears this piece of software was poorly developed from beginning to end. C'mon, it should be one question, "Is this a licensed copy of Windows?" yes or no, it's pretty simple...
