Selling and Licensing Apps on the Windows Store RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I presently use Softwarekey and their SOLO Server for licensing and I have a few questions:

    (1) My app already has a free trial and ability to buy a term licence. If I strip that away does the Store apply trial and term licensing functionality. Does it protect the product from being copied?

    (2) My app already uses online payment and licensing. How can I connect that to the Store?

  • Hi,

    Thank you for posting here.

Since the issue is not related to developing, I will move the case to off-topic forum.

But for windows store license, I suggest that you can post the issue on https://support.microsoft.com/en-us or https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us .

I also find out a document written by Antoine, which says  the licensing model has built-in support for trials that developers can set up for their apps with just a couple of clicks. We built this into the platform because we knew it was a fantastic way to encourage customers to sample and (hopefully) acquire many apps.

When an app is offered for sale and also for a free trial, customers can either “Buy” or “Try” the app.

    Best Regards,

    Hart
