Registering an Visual Basic 5 ActiveX - Object in Win7 HP 32B RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I`ve got the following problem: registering the file <DBGRID32.OCX> on a Lenovo Notebook  with an i-5 processor under Win7 HP 32-Bit I get an error message "i can't register the xy .DLL, Try it again"

It`s not possible to register the file mentioned above  and therefore it`s also not possible to run a VB6 - Application which needs this ActiveX - object  (A DBGrid - Object from VB5). I tried it in the manner which you have written in an earlier  Help-Article with a CMD prompt with /u and /i running as an administrator:<regsvr32 /X dbgrid32.ocx>!
Do you have an idea how to solve the problem.
    Thank you very much.

    yours sincerely Klaus
