Project Server 2007 - Instance migration including PWA site settings RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have to migrate Project Server data from one farm to another.

I made a backup of my 5 data bases (Draft, Published, Archive, Reporting and Content) and restored it on my new server. After migration (following a procedure found on microsoft technet site), I have a new instance with all the project schedules and the associated workspaces including the links from the PWA home site.

My question is about the PWA root site configuration (http:/projectserver/pwa) : quick launch menu, top links, documents and sharepoint lists directly attached to the PWA Site. I didn't manage to get them back. My new PWA site is as it was after the installation, I lost all the customization I have done.

Do you know how to proceed to restore also these settings and data ? Are this data also stored in the content database (the same than the  project workspaces)?

  • Thank you for your time,

I followed the export/import procedure described in the Brian's blog part 2.

My migration is OK, all the data are now available in the pwa's root site as required.
