  • This machine looks as if it may have  Loader for Vista installed

So far as I am aware, OEM2.0 wasn't released until well after this BIOS was flashed.

The license appears to be an OEM System Builder one - as it would have to be for Starter edition (even MSDN copies are OEM in this instance)

It's impossible to tell whether it would re-activate in these circumstances - the Loader may be present to get around the fact that the license wouldn't activate initially.

As far as I can work out, you have yet to present a single machine to these forums that has a demonstrably genuine license.

Even if the Key shown here is genuine - is the COA sticker for it present on the machine's case? If not, then it's not valid.

Was this license installed with the appropriate hardware to qualify for OEM, and then sold? If not, it's not valid.

You're now showing yet another time-zone - this time the Malay peninsular - having claimed to be Phillipine-based in the past, and now claiming a UK base - with a Chinese website.

  • This machine NEVER HAD an OEM_SLP Key for Windows Vista.

It was manufactured in 2003 - over 3 years before Vista was released.

Any Vista COA sticker attached to it is an OEM System Builder one - for which the SLIC table and Windows Marker are irrelevant except as in this case to indicate that there is a Loader installed.

OEM System Builder Licenses for Vista required simultaneous purchase and install of hardware.

Read the EULA /License terms on the PC. ( in the start search box, type WINVER and hit the Enter key - then follow the link off the resulting popup)

  • Your Compaq EVO  Model D310v (built in the year 2002) originally shipped from the factory with Windows XP installed.  Where did you obtain your OEM copy of Windows Vista Starter from?

  • What is the EXACT wording of the sticker? (but not the Key)

Does the Key on the sticker agree with what's visible in the report?

  • ...All of which is totally irrelevant to the presence of a Loader.

A machine of that age could almost certainly not have v2.0 Windows Marker - and if it does show one there is a very high probability of it being from an Activation Exploit.

As I said earlier, your best option is a reformat/reinstall using legitimate media and Key.
