I recently removed some malware and some old programs from my computer. Now, it says that Windows is no longer genuine. I have reactivated it, and it says that it is genuine, but Microsoft's online validation says that it is not.

Windows update does not work. I am also receiving this message when I try to download the software for my printer. C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\wminet_utils.dll contains an error. At the top it will say either MatsBoot.exe - Bad Image or
KapMaster.exe-Bad Image.
There is not a COA tag or product key tag, but I think I did find most of the product key in my investigation. It is a refurbished computer from a local computer store. I do not have the Windows installation disk.
I have gone through several threads and have tried numerous things to fix it.
