Hi
I have just installed Server 2012 and then HPC Pack 2012 SP1 with the aim of testing compatible of our software with 2012 iterations.
Firstly I tried to configure the machine as a compute node. The HPC 2008 Pack SP4 head node would not recognise the node so I tried exporting an xml file for a working HPC 2008 compute node. I edited the name, mac address and GUID which it accepted but I
could not bring the node into service. Its health remained unapproved.
The log states "The attribute 'Version' for manager 'NetBootManager' does not match the manager's assembly. The assembly's attribute is '4.0.0.0', while
the manager declaration specifies '3.0.0.0'. Change the manager attribute to Version='4.0.0.0'"
Is there anyway to allow me to use both 2012 and 2008 compute nodes on the same HPC grid?
Thanks in advance!
Pete
