Change the "Vote" behavior RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • When I see posts by other posters, and I click the "Vote" icon, I get 3 options :

    1. "Post was helpful"
    2. "Post was not helpful"
    3. "Post is abusive"

When I click on the "Vote" icon on one of my own messages,
the only option available is : "Post is abusive".

Do you seriously think that someone will report his own post as abusive ?

I understand it if you don't want a user classifying his posts as "helpful" but,
why would you think that any user would classify his own post as "abusive" ?

Not displating the "Vote" icon at all, when a poster is reading his own post, would be a better UI choice.

  • Someone else brought this up yesterday. It's a fair point...

  • Thanks Juan,
It was an oversight not an intentional function to mark your own posts as abusive.  We'll get it fixed, thanks!
