Windows Media Player plays sound but no video in Windows XP SP3 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I use WMP 11 in Windows XP SP3 mostly to view downloaded university lectures.  It was working fine until a couple days ago, for no apparent reason and with no error message, it stopped playing video.  Audio still works.  I did not change any settings.  I tried removing then re-installing WMP 11, but problem continues.  Only other change I can think of is Windows Updates recently sent an update for Silverlight.  The lectures play on RealPlayer and Quicktime, but those programs have irratating delay in audio -- which is why I started using WMP in the first place.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your help.
