Live Mesh Update *still* closes the Quick Launch Taskbar in XP RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I took the .14 update on multiple machines last night, without issue, and installed to my Windows 7 test box.
However, after all this time, the update *still* closes the Quick Launch taskbar in XP (3 machines running XP Professional, 1 with XP MCE) and when you re-enable the QL taskbar, the icon order is randomly messed up.

I had zero problems on 3 machines that are running Vista - with the Quick Launch taskbar enabled. Of course, the Windows 7 box has no Quick Launch bar. (Maybe the Live Mesh team petitioned the Windows team to get rid of it <g>)

It isn't a major issue, but I would have thought that this could have been addressed by now... :-)

  • Installing thThe update closed the QuickLaunch bar on my XP machine, too. But it didn't shuffle the icons around, all I had to do was re-enable the QL bar.

  • It also closes any custom toolbars you may have, which is a real pain: I have 5 on my desktop machine, and you have to create them all from scratch, since custom toolbars never seem to 'stick' in the default list....
