Is Server Side Sync advisable? RRS feed

  • The requriement is to monitor the due date on cases and if any case is nearing a due date, then an email must trigger to owner. The CRM is CRM 2013 on-premise, and email server is IBM Lotus Notes. Only requirement is to trigger emails, nothing else,  no contacts/tasks synchronization, no inbound emails.

    So the question is should email router be sufficient or we must use Server Side Sync (if at all its supported with above specs which am not really sure).

  • Server Side Sync only supports Microsoft Exchange, so in this scenario the Email Router is your only option
