How to revert changes made in thread.xsl

  <p>Hi,</p><p></p><p>We were facing issue in our custom list , having column as "Posted By and Modified By" where the user "image ,status and ID" values were missing.

  After updating the Thread.xsl file the issue were gone .

  Now we want to revert back the changes, and opt for a different solution approch. But we are unable to replicate the issue although we have replaced the changed thread.xsl with the old "Thread.xsl".

  Please suggest , how can i replicate the error again.
