Validation after changing a broken hard drive

I am posting this giagnostic report, after validation failed on a Dell pc inspiron 545mt. I was sent a hard drive because the previous one had failed, but the Dell engineer could not remotely access the pc to re-validate the Vista Home Premium. It said the validation code was already in use (!) I am therefore hoping for help to reset the validation code, so that it will validate again. Perhaps the bigestproblem is that validation by phone is not an option. If I had a phone number, I could do this.

Use Telephone activation -To activate by phone:-
To Activate by Phone, Click the Start button, and type:

in the Search box and then hit the "Enter" key.
This will bring up the Activate by Phone dialog window.
Follow the steps provided by the window.
If normal phone activation fails, redial the number, and this time do NOT respond when the ansafone asks which service you require - this should force an operator to pick up who can deal with your problem.
(Your issue is with Activation, not Validation - they are two entirely different things)
