Where to get help regarding creating a macromedia flash kind of software RRS feed

    I want to create a software like macromedia flash. but not with that muchfunctionality.
    Here is what i want.....
    i want to create a stage, where people can add objects, and then move them on the stage as they want, apply graphics modifications like changing color, size, rotate, etc etc,

    And the main thing is how to SAVE the file ? and then load it the next time ? what format should i use, and how can i know what information to put into the file that will save each and every object in that stage, and also the frames.

    hey shadowman,

    if u r really interested in creating flash kind of software, a big team is needed.

    regarding designing of software, you shud have clear concepts of image controlling and processing alongwith its associated algorithms.

    the main algorithms that you shud know are :

    1. how to transform image

    2. whats the way to change z-order of images

    3. what will be your storage format

    4. is the concept of image aliasing will be used or not

    5. what component will be used / created for the distribution.

    6. and lot many more....

     

    in short, its really difficult, near to impossible for creating flash kind of software.

    basically i want to create a software like this http://www.inspection.co.uk/ds_tsd0.htm it is called a tube Sheet Diagram. As i cant find any demo version / trial of it, nor any similar kind of project that can suite my client (relative's :P) requirements, i need to make one on my own with the exact specifications like that software shown in the above link. if you have time go through it and then let me know how to make it, what kinds of things will i need to know...like how to save each objects into the file so that i can reload it the next time in the same position. etc etc
