    I loved WHS when I first got it.  Now I seem to have issues that I cant fix and am very frustrated.  I have a WHS, w 2 clients PCs  w Vista that are connected to via apple router/ ethernet.   All worked like a charm at first but not my system is not backing up.  It's been two months!

    I tried to use client 1 to log in to the console, and the password would not be accepted by the WHS, even though I checked it and it is correct.  Tried for an hour different things, and no luck.  Also, after all that I did finally download the new connector software and it didnt do anything.

    I can see the share folders on WHS from client PC, but something is preventing client login/ back up.  Thanks for any advice.

    If I need to reinstall the WHS software, are there simple directions?  Dont want to lose data!!

    Try rebooting your server.
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

    Hi,

    did you change anything from the default server configuration (i.e. installed applications like SharePoint services, which are not part of the WHS initial delivery)? In this case (if a reboot does not fix the behavior) login locally with user account Administrator and console password and check the event log of the server for errors and warnings.

    Is the machine a self built machine or a purchased OEM appliance?
