Checking for custom resource availability on task-level scheduling

Question
-
Hi,
Is there a way for the scheduler to take into account custom resource availability when scheduling tasks ? Our application is able to provide the required info (i.e. resource availability in %).
If not, can you propose any workaround to do so?
Best regards,
Alex.

Hi Alex,
One of currently available scheduler extensibility meachanisms is a possibility to provide custom job Activation Filter. It can be used to check availability of resources like, for example, software licenses.
You will find more information about AFs and their improvements in upcoming R2 release here:

I don't know if this will be useful in your particular case, but please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Lukasz,
Thanks for your reply. I was actually asking about tasks , not jobs. I know AFs exist; is there a way to use them to handle tasks (i.e. filter task execution by specific resource limitation, like free disk space)?
Best regards,
Alex.
