I have a wd blue scorpion advanced
format drive model # (WD7500BPKT-75PK4T0) and was replacing the hd in
my toshiba laptop model # Satellite A505-S6960  and I get an error
message when trying to get windows updates...(windows update cannot
currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You
may need to restart your computer)...that did not work. Then tried
windows validation to get it to update and got code.. oxc8000247.

I then tried to revert back to vista
    and upgrade to windows-7 and got a error ( windows-7 doesn't support
the hardware...then tried to just do a fresh download of windows-7
    got the same message.

I've been trying to get this HD to work
since I got it in October 2011.

HELP ME....I'm not tech savvy with
    computers.

    Thanks

Next, let’s try and cure the File Mismatches, which are probably caused by an improper set of drivers.
Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here -
Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.
Note that if this set of drivers fails to install, there is a second (slightly older) set that could also cure the problem – from
Once installed, reboot and run another MGADiag report

  • Windows detected that one or more of it's protected system file(s) have been modified
(rewritten, replaced or become corrupt) and that when Windows tried to
repair the files, it failed for unknown reasons. These files can no longer
be trusted because they have been modified in some way. Or in other words,
    the files are Non-Genuine.

Below are things you can try to repair the files and resolve the issue:

First try doing a System Scan. The scan will look for bad system files and
will attempt to repair them, if possible.

    1) Click the Start Button
    2) Type: cmd.exe
    3) Right-click the cmd.exe file and select 'Run as Administrator'
    4) In the CMD window, type: sfc /scannow
    5) Reboot and see if that resolves the issue.

If that doesn't work, try repairing Windows using System Restore:

    1) Click the Start button
    2) In the Start Search field, type: System Restore and hit “Enter”
    3) Select "Choose Different Restore Point", Put a check in the box that says
"Show restore points older than 5 days", select the restore point that
corresponds to the date Before you first noticed the issue.
    4) Click the "Next" button.
    5) Reboot and see if that resolves the issue.
