Can't upload Outlook PST RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I try to upload my Outlook PST file to my Live Desktop, it starts uploading with no problem.
    The file is 465 MB
At 43 MB, the upload stops and a window pops up, saying unable to upload file.
Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

  • First of all, you should not be using Live Mesh to try to keep an Outlook.pst in sync, though you are actually doing so manually as opposed to trying to sync by making the location into a Live Mesh folder to automatically sync.
I'm not sure why it actually proceeds to 43 megs, but .pst files are blocked from being included in a Mesh. From Help:

Live Mesh also blocks files that have the following file extensions:

    • .bak
    • .gfs
    • .laccdb
    • .lnk
    • .mbf
    • .mny
    • .mpc
    • .pst
    • .sav
    • .tmp
    • .wlx

  • Thank you.
I did not know that Live Mesh blocked those file type.
what I have done is purchased a Dynex data transfer cable and I was able to fairly quickly copy over the .pst file.

    Thanks for your response.
