CRM 4 import to CRM2011 not showing all existing users in the crm4 database RRS feed

    Hi,

    When i get to the mapping stage, even if i choose manual mapping, the existing users listed from the source database is not complete, it is excluding several users that in the organisation.

    I took a backup of the live crm4 database and restored to a new sql server so as not to mess about with the live system whilst i test this. I am then attempting to import this into CRM2011

    is this normal or should i be seeing a complete list of all the users so that i can map them, if it isnt normal , any ideas what the cause it? i've googled my fingers off but cant find this scenario

    never mind....

    the clients SQLdba who insisted the backup i'm importing was current turns out to not know which databases are live are which ones are not, my source db is missing users because he kept giving me the wrong backup file. So all is well, apart from the fact the SQL guy is annoyed at me for pointing out hes been backing up useless old databases and not the live one for the last 3 months........

    This is pretty normal if you moved your CRM implementation to a new domain.  Is this the case?  If so, you will just have to manually map some of them.  The automap should handle a lot of it, but then you can just automap the last 5% or so it misses.

    its the same domain, the issue appears to be when importing the org the source crm4 database does not present a complete list of users to map, its partial

    this partial list is what ends up in the new crm2011.
