Idon't know what to say. I bought this software in good faith

Question
-
Bought a sealed version of Office 2007 Professional. Granted, I didn't buy it in a shop, but I would have thought that if it's sealed and I can register it, it should be fine. I had not problems until I installed Windows Live update and then the thing blew up saying that my copy of office was not valid. This is a newly installed Windows 7 PC, so I would have thought that will all the updates and messing I did with it, it should have ran the Windows Genuine tool many times by now. Is it possible that the tool was happy with it before I installed Windows Live today and now it doesn't like it?

Hello Martin_Gleeson,
The current crop of counterfeit software is very very well done, sometimes owing to the fact that the counterfeit product is made in the same factories that manufacturer the "real McCoy."

Unfortunately, the installed copy of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 is non-genuine and counterfeit. It is a Volume License installation using a product key never issued by Microsoft and likely created by an illegal product key generator or KeyGen. In order to resolve this non-genuine issue, visit Microsoft Genuine Advantage and click on Validate Office. When validation fails, click on the the Learn More button.

Hello,First, thank you so much for your reply.Next, I'm afraid I cannot accept this. If this is a "fake" copy of Office, then it is the best one I've ever seen. The entire pack appears completely genuine with "hologram" disks, all manuals, etc. There is a product key on a very genuine looking Microsoft label stuck inside the uniquely shaped MS clear plastic box.I'm not sure what you mean by "Volume License installation". That sounds like it may be something like a package that a large corporation would install on all of it's PC's? Is that so? The discs I have (2 of them) don't make any reference to such a installation. You say that my "product key [was] never issued by Microsoft". It looks like a genuine key and if it was never issued by MS, how did it even work originally? Why has this error just come up after months of using this software and installing many Windows updates and add-ons, some of which required that I run the MS Tool which checks for genuine Windows software? Many thanks for your help.Martin

I've been trying to submit a submit a qualifying counterfeit report but keep getting the error below
Ordering Process Unavailable
Your machine is unable to run the components required to complete the ordering process for the Office Genuine Advantage Kit. It appears that the ActiveX control cannot run properly on your machine.
1) All firewalls and routers have been removed from the equation.
2) I stopped all virus and spam blocking software
3) I went through every setting and select "Allow" or "Prompt" for ActiveX and any other controls.
I've been at this two nights now and am getting nowhere and very frustrated. I cannot find a phone number to call either.
I don't accept that the package I have is for volume licensing.
If the key is invalid, the only way I can think it could be is if someone used it to install this copy of Office and the sold me the copy. I don't think that happened either. I need to know how to follow up with MS on this.
Thank you
