Forum refresh and IE9

Question

Hello,
very often when i use F5 within the Technet forum, doesn't matter which one, the new thread content that exists which is shown in italic will not show the last added answer when collapsing it. The thread directly collapses and you do not see the turning wheel(sandwatch), which normally is shown and it takes more time when a complete thread is shown. As example if 15 answers/replies exist only 5 are shown as in my upload picture:

I know not the best view but it contains 5 from 15 answers only.
I have always to open the thread itself and then go back to have the complete overview.
This was also sometimes within IE8 but with IE9 i have this really often. Deleting temp folders etc. with borwing history did sometimes help. But after some minutes the same problem goes on.

304 sounds like not modified, but the 500 is probably some of the known stability issues. Re: the 500s, we've been having a lot of stability issues this week. And we are working hard on it.

If your browser is IE, see if your symptom changes by pressing Ctrl-F5 instead? F5 means that you are just doing cache-checking. Ctrl-F5 means that you are requesting a full Refresh and sometimes, depending on the construction of the document, even that doesn't give a full Refresh, so then the only alternative is to either actually delete the files which are still just being given cache-checks or just clear the TIF and start with a guarantee of no files to be checked. You can use Fiddler2 to see whether the Ctrl-F5 is sufficient.

Hello,
i will try that today and report back to see if it helps.
UPDATE: Just the last minutes where enough for testing Ctrl+F5 doesn't help and even closing/opening a thread is not working.
Always flashing the TIF is not really a solution and the problems start soon after this.

Clearing the TIF would be regarded as a diagnostic which would prove that the cache was the source of the problem. Did you use Fiddler to see if the piece that wasn't changing was only being cache-checked, even with Ctrl-F5? Also, note that once you know which piece it is that you suspect you can always delete just it from the cache and see if that is enough to change your symptom, even with just an F5.
Good luck

Hello,
i installed Fiddler and run it during web site refresh but sorry i am not a programmer or webdesigner to use this tool and find information you maybe able to find with it.
I just like to use F5 as within IE8 and IE7 before and have a complete thread with all answers inside after collapsing it.
Also with the not longer running auto-refresh option the threads where complete and to use.

Please try F5 and compare with Ctrl-F5. A significant thing to look for is the Result codes. E.g. 200 means you are getting fresh content. So, if you aren't getting 200 for something during a Ctrl-F5 that could be what you are seeing as not being updated.
FWIW I just did that with this forum and it appeared that Ctrl-F5 was getting all fresh content. So, if there was a problem with it, the origin of the problem would be on the server, not the client.

Hello,
i saw a lot of the result code 200 when using F5 or Ctrl+F5. But also 500, where it atarts with and 304. And the collapsing doesn't work either way.
