Question
-
Hi,
I have a genuine windows version. But when I disconnect from my LAN it shows the sign that my version of windows is not genuine and when I connect back to my LAN the message goes away.
What can be the problem...I have spoken to my network admins and they cant work it out and they say the would have to re-install windows...but than it will cost me lot of time.
Any suggestions.

Mike:
I would suggest updating to a newer version of WGA Notifications. It looks like you're having cryptographic issues that are common to remote profiles.
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=69498 is the link you can use the download the latest version.
Also, your copy of Office Frontpage 2003 is non-genuine. I would suggest going to www.microsoft.com/genuine and clicking Validate Office to find out next steps.
Thanks!

The latest version is linked in my previous post :). Automatic Updates has not re-released our latest version yet.
Thanks for uninstalling Front-page! I'm sure the owning corporation will appreciate not being charged for an extra usage under their license agreement :) (seriously!)

I have a similar problem. If I start my laptop with the network disconected I get the NOT GENUINE message. When I re-connect to the network all is OK. This is VERY annoying as I use a wireless network so get this quite frequently as I am sometimes out of range when using my laptop. I have done much googling and searching of MS knowledgebase but cannot find a solutionto this. I hoped someone can help.

Hi,
I ran tool as requested, results below. I have since established this ony happens when no network connection AND logging onto a domain account. Logging onto local account does not cause the problem even when no network.

Phil,
Where do I get lastest version of wga? I keep my PC fully up to date using automatic updates, shouldn't I therefore have the latest version?
I have uninstalled frontpage since I don't use it. Didn't even know it was there!
Thanks
Mike
