Hello,
I am using MS Word 2008 on an older MacBook Pro running OSX Lion. (10.7.5, specifically.) I was editing a word document as recently as Wednesday but now when I attempt to open it, a window pops up instructing me to convert the file.
I have not updated my version of MS Word.
None of the options for converting the file will open it correctly. They're either blank or in what looks like code. When I look at the file information, it says that it is a MS Word 1997 file. It still shows it was last edited Wednesday.
How can I recover the information in this document?
I'm unable to attach a screen shot of the window because Windows says my account is not verified but it is a small box in the center of the screen that says "Convert File" in the title bar, says "Convert file from:" below that and has
a list of conversion types below starting with "Unicode Text."
