Bold and Un-Bolding of Post's Title RRS feed

  • Question

  • Currently when you look down a list of current posts in a forum you are following, a new post's title is in Bold text. When you click on the Title to open and read the post, the Bold attribute is removed from the Title text when you close it. This is a nice feature and I am glad you continued it into the new UI for the forum.

I very much appreciate also having the collapse toggle for viewing posts, it is a nice feature to "peek" inside the post. It would also be helpful if this toggling action would remove the Bold attribute from the post's Title.

Having post Title's text in Bold tells me at a glance that I haven't looked at the post. Regardless of my method of viewing the post, direct click or by toggling the expanded view, since both have provided me the opportunity to read the post it would be nice to have the "at a glance" indicator (i.e. the Title text Bold or not) feature working consistently.

    Thank you

  • Try refreshing the page. When I refresh the page, the thread title is no longer bold, indicating I have opened that thread.

  • There are also some forums (I know the Windows Server forums are like this) where new/unread threads never show as bolded. This issues has been reported in several threads over the past week.
