WGA Incorrect on imaged computers RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a volume license for Windows XP and have a standard image for staff computers which gets ghosted onto new computers.

Having just set up WSUS on a server all my computers have nicely started downloading and installing the updates - HOWEVER I have at least 3 computers which are coming up and saying they are not genuine which is complete rubbish!

If my copy was wrong then every single windows machine we have would be saying this and I have no idea why a couple have got this wrong.  Of course it is also an update you cannot remove so you cannot go back to not having it and thus not worrying users who see this blue thing saying they are using an illegal copy of windows!

    Whats the solution???
