  • Question

  • Hi all

I'm using the official microsoft 70-432 training book and amongst the huge amount of errors (as usual!) i've got a question.

On the cd tests i came across a question about the minimum occurance a sql agent job can run.  The question stated that this was 60 seconds but when I check myself in SQL it can be times less than that.

I'm stumped - who should I believe?  Would like to think the official exam would have this answer correct if it ever did come up.

    cheers

  • Hi,

it is true, that a sql server agent job can be schedules every 10 seconds and not every 60 seconds. (It was that way at least from SQL Server 2005 ... but maybe even earlier!)

So if that was the exact question, the answer should be 10 seconds and not 60 seconds.

One point that you should also keep in mind: The questions are just practice questions. That are not questions that directly come from the exam!

    With kind regards,

    Konrad

  • I just read through the errata here and there is no mention of this error (that doesn't mean that the error doesn't exist though) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968609

  • Hi guys thanks for the reply, for some reason i didn't get an email alert to say anyone has responded!

Would it be ok to upload a screenshot of the question?  It's from the cd that came with the book so could be wrong as are many things in the book and CD tests.

I'll have to memorise that answer in future and always check the wrong one as i practice my tests :)

Konrad has already answered your question so uploading a screenshot will not result in a diffrent reply.

  • Ok fair enough, you can even do it as often as every 1 second although why anyone would is beyond me!  Was only going to put a screenshot up just to prove i wasn't going mad
