  • Hi,

You will need all the appropriate server 2003 drivers. I believe the T105 uses SATA disks, so it will need the drivers twice, the first time right at the beginning, for the server 2003 installation, and then again, when the WHS portion is being installed. It is very easy to miss, you need to use F6 to install them. Most people have them on a USB stick, but some people have had difficulty getting WHS to see them, the recommendation is that they are in a folder, not the root of the stick. Also, ensure that if you have more than one drive, they are set up as basic drives,  not Raid or JBOD.

  • Scot,

I plan to purchase a Dell PowerEdge T105 at discount price and install WHS as you did.  Could you please let me know what I should do to avoid any problems. The T105 that I plan to purchase is a Dual Core AMD, 2GB Memory, 16X SATA DVD, with 2 160GB SATA HD.  Thanks.
