Using Dynamics CRM 2013 Online Data (Column) in a Sharepoint 2013 Online List RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.

We are using Office 365 (SharePoint 2013 Online) and Dynamics CRM 2013 Online.

We created a Project list in SharePoint with a customer contact column (text). Now we want to lookup the contact (Name, read only) from our Dynamics CRM Online environment, because the customer (account & contacts) information is stored there.

Is it possible to do this in an uncomplicated way?

    best regards from germany

  • The upcoming CRM Service Pack 1 (Leo) has improved integration between SharePoint and CRM Online that will help with this.

In the meantime, I'd look at the CRM List Component for SharePoint and see if that helps: http://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=40345

  • Ingo,

you will find another approach to sync CRM Online data with native SharePoint lists (online or on-premise) here:

    http://www.layer2.de/en/community/FAQs/cloud-connector/Pages/CRM-Online-2011-Contact-Sync-SharePoint.aspx

That makes it easy to establish lookups (and other SharePoint features) just inside SharePoint (without connecting to CRM each time).

    Thanks, Frank

  • Thank you Frank.

I prefer not to use 3rd Party Tools.
