Problems with system.windows.forms RRS feed

  • General discussion

Excuse me as I am a beginner.

I have installed what I believe is correct on my laptop.

However, when I have gone to put the following code in, it did not recognise the string highlighted in bold:

    ' Fig 3.21: SquareRoot.vb

' Displaying the square root of 2 in dialog

    Imports System.Windows.Forms 'Namespace containing MessageBox

    Module modSquareRoot

    Sub Main()

' Calculate square root of 2

Dim root As Double = Math.Sqrt(2)

    ' Display results in dialog

    MessageBox.Show("The square root of 2 is " & root, _

    "The Square Root of 2")

    End Sub 'Main

    End Module ' modSquareRoot

I thought I may need to download the MSDN Library or some pre-requisites are missing.

Could someone advise me what I am to download and where I am to download it from?

First I believe this is a win forms because as far as I know messagebox didn't work in Web app.

Do you check your references for your project? Maybe you just have a missing references.
