Server Storage adding and removing RRS feed

    Hi I have added HHD to the server storage. so I have a 1 TB and added 2 500GB HHD to the 1 TB drver so it shows as a 2 TB drive. I have data on them. my question is if I remove 1 of the 500GB drives will I lose the data on that drive.

    Hi,
    if the server is up to date with the Updates for Windows Home Server, you can remove the drive via console from the storage pool without problems, as long as there is enough space on the remaining volumes. It can take a while depending from the current file distribution to move them to another disk, but of the task is completed, you can take out the old disk without risking your data.
