Difference between DLLs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

This might be stupid question but are dlls for webform applications different dlls for winform application. I have few 3rd party dlls I am trying to use. I can add them and use them in a winform application but after adding the reference to a webform project I can't seem to add the corresponding namespace.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you,

    S_A_Paul

  • Could be any kind of loading failure. E.g. a .Net 4.0 dll is referenced in a .Net 2.0 project. Or the dll's full path name length exceed _MAX_PATH.

  • Hi S_A_PAUL,

Normally, the .net dlls are the same. Both of them could use it. But, I am not sure what are your 3rd party dlls. Please check that whether the 3rd party dlls support Webform or not.

    Best Regards,

    Wendy
