Custom Attachment field in Entity in CRM dynamics 2011 RRS feed

    Hi All,

    I'm new to the world of CRM, how can I provide a custom filed  like as we have Lookup field or single Line text 

    Can we have a filed like Attach File : A button here so that it can open window to choose file .. :)

    I have heard we have  a ways like

    storing as web resource files ..  if that is the way kindly assist how can I achieve that(Coding level)

    Can we give any custom storage path??

    Hello ashraf26,

    I believe what you are looking for is Annotations (notes), and the adjacent possibility to Upload/Download attachments via Organization Service.

    Take a look at Annotation (note) and the related links from MSDN.

    No , Not notes...

    Apart from notes I would like to upload files in with a browse button

    Did you have a change to look at the link I've posted above? It references how you can attach documents programatically as well as via the interface itself. It also explains and you can enable notes (and attachments) to custom Entities.

    Brief explanation: If you add a Note to an Entity you then have the possibility to add an attachment (Word Document, Excel Spreadsheet, etc).
