Having issues connecting all the Nodes. RRS feed

  • Question

  • the manually install loads on all the servers but I cant get the node on the sql server to show up as a node that can be added. I can even open the HPC tool and use it on the sql server using the same head node but still cant see the sql server as a compute node. the other two servers we added showed up with the same load process and are working. any ideas on how to get it to connect as a compute node? the other nodes connected without issue. this is loading on 2019 windows servers sql 2019 as well. • Hi ScottCBBT,

Is the SQL Server used for remote database for the head node? If so, it is not recommended to use it as a compute node.

If you installed compute node on it, but cannot see it in HPC Cluster Manager, probably there is connectivity issue between the SQL Server and the head node. Please check the network connectivity and firewall settings first.
