Can i use the Log Shipping Mechanism to perform a CRM 2011 Disaster Recovery Solution.

The safest route is to restore the database from backup and change the DNS to the new IP of the CRM server.

Hi, I'm also planning a stategy for Disaster Recovery and found the following link promising. Looks like it does not require manual tweaking

SQL Clustering and database mirroring are the two automated options. Log shipping requires manual failover, but is a viable option.
One consideration is that you have to consider both the organisation database and the MSCRM_Config database. The latter is not changed often, but creating new users updates both databases, so if you've recently added new users, then you will have to recover consistent versions of these databases
