Another Office 2003 Validation Issue - OEM Key Invalid

  Hello people,
  I've recently purchased a Toshiba Tecra notebook that came with an OEm software package that included Office 2003. It was preinstalled. When I went to open a Word document the program asked for a product key. No problem, I just wipped out my OEM software sleave and off the COA I  put in the key. A pop-up window appeared telling me the key was invalid.
  
  I suspect it is because the computer might have originally had Windows 2000 installed and had been updated to XP Pro? Either way, the retards at Toshiba directed me to the Office Trial page at: http://www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial.trialkey.mspx
  
  Do I really want to put in a trial key for OEM software that has a legit COA? I kind peaved at Toshiba.
