  • how do u search for hidden files and folders in XP????

  • tools -> folder options -> show hidden files

                                         ->show protected OS files

  • i didnt mean to make the invisible folders visible .....i meant how can we search a folder which is hidden

  • well by making invisible visible..u automatically and indirectly find an hidden folder...

     

    anyways u can always do an advanced search....and check search hidden files and folders....

     

    i wonder a person who can edit registry doesnt know how to search using search option....

  • you can know it by issuing a command on the command prompt.
    the command is:
    dir /Ah <directory name>

    or if you want to use search utility, simply choose the option, search in hidden files & folders 2
