New way to stitch video to photo RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I've found a new way to planar stitch drone video footage to one big image based on the view location (instead of the orientation).

This approach is based on recording strokes of pixels perpendicular to the direction of the motion from the video footage. When stitching the strokes together you get an image without vanishing point, but a line of vanishing points.

Some kind of photo-finish technique used in sports used on the moving camera.

If ICE can interpolate the motion of the camera by the video footage according this approach it should be applicable for making the planar motion feature better as it already is in ICE ;)

I've posted this approach on google plus, https://plus.google.com/u/0/+BartDooper/posts/HUeieae2PvJ

    Cheers
