Opportunity cancelled - Is it Lost RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    I have a small question.

    I have a client and his process is as follows:

    1. Marketing Officers create leads and send to their Manager.

    2. The Manager review the leads, if it ok, he qualifies it else disqualify it.

    Now onwards I have a doubt.

    For all qualified leads, he assign a consultant to work on and gather information for analysis prior to propose.  All these information should be recorded in CRM

    And during this stage, there is a review meeting to decide whether to go-ahead or no-go.

    And if no-go, the process stops here, if go-ahead continue with proposal.

    My first question is, whether to record all analysis phase information in the Opportunity Form or create an intermediate form called "Analysis"

    My second question is, if all analysis phase information is recorded on Opportunity and that during the review meeting it's "NO-GO", how shall I close the Opportunity, "Close as Lost" or "Cancelled".  Because during reporting, there will be anomaly as the Opportunity id "No-GO" and not "LOST".

    Some can help me here, clear my doubts.
